Solarity BG delivered an ESS system for the first time in Bulgaria. The system is a large storage unit for storing part of the energy produced by a photovoltaic plant. ESSs are used for grid balancing purposes as well as to improve the economic effect of energy production. Specially sized batteries ensure the sale of energy at the best price of the day. ESS is specially configured to work according to the requirements of the Bulgarian network operators and has a capacity of 1.8 MWh. The battery pack is powered by the energy produced by a 1.5MW plant with the photovoltaic panels of the Sharp brand and is managed by the Solarity Energy Management System.
