Solarity BG presents an innovative solution that enables PV plant owners to optimize energy generation and financial returns using real-time electricity exchange prices.

The software has algorithms for regulation, both of a combined BESS + PV installation, and regulation of separate installations of storage systems and PV plants.

Photovoltaic plants for self-use with sale of excess energy automatically enter “self-use” mode when the price of electricity falls below a value set by the customer.

When the power grid goes down, the solar inverters stop producing electricity. There are many reasons why they are designed this way, but the main ones are:

  • When the power grid goes down, the energy returned from the solar inverters can cause an electric shock and injure the people repairing the fault.
  • A sudden restoration of the voltage on the transmission network will cause a short circuit and damage to the equipment. This will be due to the unsynchronized sinusoids of the network and the output of the inverter.
Our energy storage system offers a solution where, in the event of a power grid failure, the solar inverters are physically disconnected from the grid. An autonomous system is obtained in which the solar inverters can continue to produce electricity and charge the battery. Thus, even with frequent power grid outages, the energy produced by the sun can be stored in the battery and fed back into the grid when the fault is repaired. The algorithm embedded in our Solarity APC EMS software controls the proper charging of the battery in case of such emergency situations. As can be seen from the graph, this is about large capacities, where due to frequent power outages or power outages for a longer time, the loss of electricity would be significant.
Solarity APC, has many algorithms for managing electricity storage systems. We have developed algorithms both for working together with photovoltaic plants and for independent storage systems that charge and release energy to the grid depending on the price of electricity.

Thanks to these algorithms, Solarity APC allows the automation of many of the management processes, also increases profitability and, accordingly, a faster return on investment.
